Barack Obama’s connections to Oprah Winfrey and her New Age guru, Eckhart Tolle, are the least examined, yet most revealing, and by far the most potentially ruinous of the senator’s controversial associations. Obama claims to be a “committed Christian,” yet appears to support Oprah in the worldwide dissemination of Tolle’s and her virulent anti-Christian doctrine. –
Human Events reports The closeness of the connection may now be paying off. Oprah has
rejected the idea of having Republican Vice Presidential candidate Gov.
Sarah Palin as a guest on her show before the election. Palin would
seem a natural. Did Oprah put Palin aside because of her loyalty to
Obama? And who is Eckhart Tolle?
AP reports Angry community organizers defended their work, and that of former
organizer Barack Obama, as they fought back Thursday against a series
of insulting remarks by speakers at the Republican National Convention. Michelle Malkin at CNS comments I laughed again when VP nominee and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin cracked: “I
guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a ‘community organizer,’
except that you have actual responsibilities.” Team Obama was not amused. (Neither were the snarky left-wingers on
cable TV who are now allergic to sarcasm.) They don’t get why we
snicker when Obama dons his Community Organizer cape.
WND reports GOP Sen. John McCain is “absentminded” and “terrible” and his running mate, Gov. Sarah Palin, doesn’t have any appropriate experience. Sen. Barack Obama, by contrast, is “highly educated” and “eloquent” and would serve the world much better and improve America’s overall situation. And Sen. Joe Biden is a “very respectable” man with a “good reputation.” All this according to an interview broadcast this week on Iranian state-run media.
In response to Obama losing evangelical votes, the Wall Street Journal reports In a sign that Democrats realize just how much damage has been done,
the liberal religious group Matthew 25 released a statement accusing
Gov. Palin of acting in an un-Christian manner. Palin again questioned Obama’s service record.
Politico reports Barack Obama’s campaign is flatly denying a story told by former
Manhattan Borough President Percy Sutton, who cast an ex-Black Panther
turned Muslim businessman and lecturer as a key Obama mentor but whose
story seems off in at least one key detail.Sutton’s story, told in what NY1 said was a March 25 interview, has been lighting up the conservative blogs for the last week. al-Mansour, is a former Black Panther and an adviser to Saudi royalty who has produced, as Amanda Carpenter noted, some YouTube clips that would light up cable television if he’s actually been close to Obama.
An Investors Business Daily editorial comments the Democrats’ reintroduction of militant Michelle Obama in Denver was
supposed to show her softer side. But it only highlighted a radical
part of her resume: Public Allies.
