The drive-by shooting of Coptic Christians by extremist Muslims has been condemned by public opinion worldwide, reports Jeremy Reynalds, correspondent for ASSIST News Service.

According to a story by Mary Abdelmassih of the Assyrian International News Agency (AINA), the incident, which killed six people and wounded nine, occurred on Jan. 6 after Copts finished celebrating the Orthodox Christmas Eve midnight Mass in the southern town of Nagaa Hammadi.

At New Venture, glass windows were shattered and all the Bibles were thrown into a pile and set on fire. Police suspect the burglaries at St. Andrew United Methodist, Westside Baptist and the Way of Life Church are related, but not the fire at New Venture on Christmas Day.
