I could say so much about the band Falling Up. They’ve been one of my favorite bands since I saw them at Purple Door a few years ago. Well I’ll start out with some background information.

Falling Up got its name became two of the band members who wrote their first song. The members of the band are:

Jessy Ribordy… Vocals
Jeremy Miller… Bass
Josh Shroy… Drums

Here are the albums they’ve had:

Fangs, 2009

Discover The Trees Again: The Best Of Falling Up, 2008

Captiva, 2007

Exit Lights, 2006

Dawn Escapes, 2005

Crashings, 2004

Honestly, I can’t pick a favorite one. The melodies are catchy and the songs have great meaning to every one of them. Jessy actually says,”Our mission is to tell everyone who listens to our music and goes to our

shows about the love we have in Christ Jesus, to show people that Christians can be real and honest, It is to glorify God in every aspect of our lives and this band, and to show people through our lyrics, music, love, and lifestyles that there is more to life than what the world has offered us.”

“Crashings” include hits like “Symmetry” “Bittersweet” and more. “Exit Lights” has one of my favorite songs, “The Islander” on it. If I had to list all my favorite songs from this band, it would have every single song on it!

The album “Fangs” literally just came out. I heard it recently and I like this CD along with the others.

How do I describe their music? Well they have a lot of soft songs and some faster songs. It’s a mix of instruments including guitars, drums, and keyboards. The singer has a soothing voice. The choruses are catchy and you can put the songs on repeat and not get tired of them. That’s when you know you found a good band. When you listen to their songs over and over again without getting bored. The lyrics are very emotional and touching. I love the fact that when I listen to them I can really connect with the lyrics.

I’ve only seen them once in concert. I wish I could see them more times because they are my musical inspirations. I love to sing and write music and when I do, Falling Up is pretty much my number one musical influence.
